Annual North Country Moose Festival
Colbrook, NH

According to NH Fish & Game, the state’s moose population is approximately 4,000. Down from a high of about 7,500 just a few years ago. It has caused great concern among the people of New Hampshire.

NH's remaining moose population is under severe stress. The lion's share of our moose live in the northern, more rural parts of New Hampshire, and the White Mountain National Forest is one place you’re almost sure to find them!

Every year at the end of August annually Colbrook sponsors a celebration of this, New Hampshire's largest beast of the woods.
